HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch China Launch: Price, Specs and What Buyers Need to Know

Verified facts about the HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch China version

HONOR MagicPad4 China launch: what is confirmed?

The HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch China version is scheduled to launch in China on 28 September 2026, alongside the HONOR Magic9 series. It features a 12.1-inch 165Hz LCD display, a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform, and a 10,100mAh battery.

HONOR’s pre-sale information lists two configurations: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The tablet combines a large 12.1-inch display, a high refresh rate, and a large battery, which may appeal to buyers comparing tablets for work, study, media, and gaming.

There is one important point for buyers outside China. The 12.1-inch MagicPad4 discussed here is a China-market model, and an international launch date for this version has not been confirmed.

HONOR also sells a different MagicPad4 configuration in international markets, so the two models should not be treated as the same tablet.

In this article, we look at the confirmed HONOR MagicPad4 specifications, China launch date, RAM and storage options, display, processor, battery, buying considerations, and international availability. If you are considering an import, these are the details to check before you place an order.

HONOR MagicPad4 China price and pre-sale status

The HONOR MagicPad4 China prices are listed below. These are China-market launch prices, not US or India prices.

The 3,299-yuan and 3,699-yuan amounts are the listed standard prices for the specified configurations. The lower figures are reported Chinese government subsidy prices. They should not be presented as ordinary international prices.

Anyone importing the tablet should also check the seller’s warranty, return policy, charger, software language, keyboard and stylus availability, and final delivered cost. These details can vary by seller and are not established by the launch price alone.

HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch specifications

The table combines the official China listing with reputable independent coverage. Where the official listing uses a broader processor name, we retain that wording rather than presenting a third-party identification as HONOR’s exact wording.

What the 165Hz LCD display means for buyers

The HONOR MagicPad4 165Hz display can refresh the image more often than a conventional 60Hz tablet display. When an app supports the higher rate, scrolling and animated interface movement can look smoother.

The 3,000 × 1,872 resolution and 292 PPI should keep text and interface elements detailed at 12.1 inches. That combination suits reading, document work, online classes, and video viewing. The 700-nit HBM brightness may help in bright conditions, although peak brightness does not describe every viewing situation.

The China model uses an LCD panel, not OLED. Buyers who want OLED contrast should not assume that the China configuration provides it. The global MagicPad4 uses a different display technology, as shown in the comparison below.

Snapdragon 8s platform and PC mode

The official China listing identifies a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform. Notebookcheck identifies the chip as Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. That platform provides the hardware foundation for browsing, streaming, document editing, communication, and gaming, but independent benchmark results for this specific China configuration are not part of the evidence reviewed here.

HONOR also lists PC-mode and multi-window features, along with support for PC-level apps. These features may help users who work with documents, research material, email, and several app windows on a larger screen. They do not mean the tablet can run every desktop application or replace a Windows or macOS computer.

The practical question is whether the apps and accessories you need work with the China software build. Check this before importing the device.

10,100mAh battery and cooling claims

The HONOR MagicPad4 10,100mAh battery gives the tablet a large published capacity. Actual battery life will depend on brightness, refresh-rate behavior, apps, network use, and standby settings.

HONOR also advertises up to 70 days of standby time. Standby time is not the same as active-use battery life, so it should not be used as an estimate for video playback, gaming, or normal daily use.

The China version uses a new 3D cooling system. HONOR says graphite cooling performance improves by 11.7% and the graphite cooling area exceeds 37,000mm². These are manufacturer claims, not independent thermal-test results.

Cameras, speakers, and file transfer

The official China product listing specifies a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Those specifications may suit video calls, document scans, and occasional reference photos, but they do not establish image quality without camera testing.

The tablet has six speakers according to the official China product listing. Speaker count alone does not establish loudness or sound quality.

HONOR and independent coverage report cross-brand file transfer, including transfers with iOS devices. This could be useful for people who use both Apple and Android hardware. Before relying on the feature for work, confirm that the required software and permissions are available for your region and device configuration.

HONOR MagicPad4 China version versus global version

The name HONOR MagicPad4 is used for two different regional configurations in the sources reviewed here.

The global specifications above come from HONOR’s international product page, not the China listing. This is why buyers should verify the exact regional model before ordering. A listing that says only “MagicPad4” may not make the display, processor, body measurements, or speaker configuration clear.

Buying advice: who should consider the China version?

The China version may suit buyers who want a large LCD tablet with a high refresh rate, a large battery, Android productivity features, and a China-market price. It may also interest users who can verify software language, accessories, warranty, and import arrangements before buying.

It may not suit buyers who require a confirmed local warranty, an OLED display, a guaranteed international software experience, or a formally announced US or India release. In those cases, a locally supported tablet or the international MagicPad4 configuration may reduce the uncertainty around support and compatibility.

The decision should be based on the final delivered cost and support terms, not the 3,299-yuan starting price alone.

Amazon US buying section

The sources reviewed for this article do not confirm an Amazon US launch for the HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch China version. If an Amazon US listing appears, verify the exact screen size, processor, seller, warranty, return policy, charger, software language, and storage configuration before ordering.

Check current Amazon US listings and prices only after confirming that the listing is the 12.1-inch China version rather than the global 12.3-inch model.

Amazon India buying section

The reviewed sources do not confirm an Amazon India launch date or official India price for the 12.1-inch China version. An imported listing may have different warranty and software terms from an officially distributed product.

Check current Amazon India availability only after confirming the model, seller warranty, import status, charger, and return conditions.

Final verdict

The HONOR MagicPad4 12.1-inch China version is aimed at buyers who want a 165Hz LCD screen, a 10,100mAh battery, and large-screen multitasking at a China-market starting price of 3,299 yuan. That price should not be treated as an international price, and the tablet should not be treated as identical to the global MagicPad4.

The most important buying step is to verify the regional configuration. The China version has a 12.1-inch LCD display and fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s platform, while the global version has a 12.3-inch OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Buyers should also confirm local support, software, accessories, and total delivered cost before purchasing.
